About
Websites, fully awake.
Quartifex is a design and engineering studio for product launches. We make cinematic, scroll-driven sites, the brands behind them and the open tools that make them fast, for funded startups and the agencies they work with.

Brands and teams we have worked with.
GDPR compliant. Briefs, files and personal data from clients and visitors are handled under UK and EU GDPR.
Design-led for brands.
Engineering-led for launches.
One team carries a launch from the first storyboard to the last frame of polish. No handoffs between agencies, no lost intent between design and build.

Most of the web is asleep.
A launch gets one first look, and most sites spend it on a template. We started Quartifex to make the other kind: sites that move with the story, load fast and make a visitor stop. We build them for products that deserve a launch people remember.
The whole web, asleep or awake.
Most of the web starts from a theme or a template.
Sites running GSAP, the leading web animation library.
Our estimate. The fourth state of the web, and the one we build.
Sources: W3Techs, usage of WordPress and GSAP across all websites, October 2026. The fourth figure is our estimate.
The nameQuartifex is quart and artifex: the fourth product. It comes from Turiya, the fourth state in the Mandukya Upanishad, the awareness that holds waking, dreaming and deep sleep. Our mark carries it: three points quiet, one lit.
How we work
Four things we will never compromise on.
The people you meet are the people who build it. There is no account layer between you and the work, and no junior handoff after the pitch.
See a full case studyA storyboard signed off before the build, a launch date agreed on day one, and a preview link you can open every week.
See the workEvery effect we use on a launch starts as an open-source experiment in the Lab, with the code one click away.

In their words
What it is like to build with us.
Quartifex did what we asked, then went beyond it, bringing their own ideas to the table. A fantastic addition to our team.
They kept collaborating until the ideas were implemented the best way, and tuned their approach to what we needed.
They presented bold ideas even in the face of resistance, won us over with thorough research and unwavering confidence, and gave our brand new life.
Highly skilled designers, and rarer still for their commercial instinct. Quartifex's work helped revamp our brand and bring in more customers.
From logos to menus, packaging to social media, Quartifex revamped everything. Suddenly we were the go-to place in town.
Once Quartifex took charge of a project, I never had to worry about it again.
Since we started working together, my sales have grown steadily, all thanks to their work.
They have a remarkable ability to understand the intricacies of a business and manage its brand with care.
What sets Quartifex apart is their commitment to innovative designs that leave a lasting impact.
They resist the urge to jump to solutions. That pause to understand the environment adds value to any team.
They would pour in hours of extra work, even when not expected, to help someone out.
They were really good at what they did and always got things done effortlessly.

We are building launches people stop scrolling for.
Templates make every launch look like the last one. We would rather make the one people remember: built in code you own, on a date you can plan around.
